Abandoned or lost dogs - all dogs in the pictures are probably already dead - they died alone and deserted .....
(2012) Lisbon - Kennel Leira a municipal enclosures supported by the government. In this local government enclosure, the public has access, but must make an appointment. Before the visit, the dog section is prepared to give a good impression. During the short visit time, the visitor have only access to part of the building, many rooms are closed to visitors. A video made in October 2010 the Kennel/Cattery of Lisbon shows the degrading conditions in which animals are kept. In 2009, the Lisbon residents voted in a project of the Participatory Budget which provided 375mil euros to improve the conditions of the kennel/cattery, which is more like an animal concentration camp. In October 2010 yet nothing was done. Not in 2011 either .... and not now.....
(2013) Dogs are also caught and killed quickly in small communities and villages - This is the municipal enclosure in Ovar - you might think that the authorities should be able to find the owner or a new owner ..... but no ..... instead opting the municipality, the easy way - to killing all dogs after 8 days, according to the Portuguese law. Today trying Vicente Proteçao de Animais - rescue dogs from death in this enclosure, but it goes very slowly and reluctantly.
