Poisoning (#)
In Cyprus started a dog owner this reporting system in 2010, after her own dog was poisoned. The map is appalling - you should also keep in mind that the map only shows the reported incidents.
Poisonings in other countries in Eastern and Southern Europe would show the same red map, but with more incidents - the dark figure is high. Poisoning of stray animals in those countries is very extensive.

2011. This video shows how the dog suffers before he/she dies. People who saw the suffering dog called the vets to euthanize the dog to stop the sufferings. The vets came and said that these are definitely the symptoms of poisoning. The dog died in the middle of the yard where children and people have to witnessed the poor dog. Boys asked if the dog has already died. They said that all kind dogs were poisoned in their yard. Among them they mention the dog in red collar (it means that this dog had been neutered). Kids tell that they saw a man on a bicycle who put some pills into sausage and fed the dogs. The boys said that the dogs who came were very kind and trusted humans. |
