By exposing children and young people to the everyday cruelties to abandoned and homeless animals - we believe that the EU and thus certain Member States, violate the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Regarding this picture of the kids and they poisoned stray dogs - we shall not give the children the blame - the children show a reaction at being photographed, not a reaction of the dogs lie dead in front of them. Children in countries with many stray dogs face this tragedy every day and become numb to all the suffering and killing. That is what is the great danger and the deplorable - that children see dead poisoned companion animals as something completely natural, even in an EU member state.

We know that this image is provocative - but it is the truth that many children and parents must endure every day in many European countries. Additionally, there are children who accidentally eaten poisoned food on the ground that was meant to poison stray dogs - many children have become seriously ill or even died.
